The Principals and staff would like to acknowledge and congratulate Peter Landers who on April 13 this year stepped down as a Director of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce after 22 consecutive years of service in that role.

As a director of the chamber, Peter served on numerous sub committees. More recently Peter has served on the chamber’s Public Finance Committee and the Governance, Finance and Risk Committee.

Peter also held the position of Chamber President from 1998 to 1999.

Under Peter’s presidency the chamber lobbied for the upgrade of the Geelong-Melbourne freeway and the establishment of a Geelong International Watersports Centre on the Belmont Common. Also during this period the Smart Geelong Network was established.

At the 2016 Annual General Meeting Peter was presented with a life membership to the Chamber in recognition of his service to the Chamber and the Geelong business community.

Also honored on the evening was Norm Lyons, a valued client of LBW, whom we also congratulate on his achievements at the Chamber during a very long term of service as well.
